Once upon a time there lived a peasant and his wife who lived in a
village. Many years passed but they had no children of their own and their life
without a child was all sad and empty. They mourned at their fate and longed
for a child. One day when they both were sleeping, an angel appeared in their dream
bringing the news that they soon will be blessed with a baby boy who will be
sad all the time and the angel disappeared. The next morning the peasants cow
gave birth to a calf but to his surprise it was not a calf but a handsome baby
boy. Both the peasant and his wife were overjoyed on seeing the baby boy and
took him as their own child. They named the baby boy Thomas. Years passed and Thomas became sadder every day. His sadness grew larger that he felt his heart
would burst at anytime. The peasant and his wife loved Thomas more than
anything in this world and soon they began to worry about their wards sadness
and they decided to send him to his uncle James who worked in the royal palace
as the royal clown and they thought that his funny behavior will change Thomas’s
sadness. On reaching the royal palace, Thomas was dumbstruck at the beauty of
the palace and its garden but was sad all the time. His uncle lived in the
staff quarters near the royal garden with the other staffs of the palace.
Thomas, though sad all the time was exceptionally handsome in the whole
kingdom. Thomas never spent his time with any lady and he grew sadder
about thinking about his sadness. He always
felt that he is missing something in his life. One day when Thomas was siting
in the garden thinking about his sadness, the prince noticed him through his
bed room window. The prince who never
came out of his room from the time of his birth was also sad all the time. On seeing
Thomas from his window he felt something in his heart, a feeling which he had
never felt before in his lifetime. For the first time in his lifetime he came
out of his room to visit Thomas but he reached the spot, Thomas was not there
and again grief filled his heart. When the king learned about the prince
leaving his room he became overwhelmed with joy and decided to arrange a ball. The
next day when Thomas again visited the garden he was surprised to see the
prince already waiting for him. The prince, on seeing Thomas again felt the
feeling in his heart and Thomas felt the same for the first time. They looked
into each others eyes for a real longtime. Both never wanted to blink. Later the
prince took Thomas to the palace to make him live with him. But the king never
liked the prince having a peasants company. Months passed and the bond grew
strong between Thomas and the prince. They both felt no sadness when they were
together. When it was time for the ball the prince denied dancing with anyone
else, the king who now turned on with rage ordered to stab Thomas's heart. When
the prince came to know about it rushed to Thomas but only to see him with a
stabbed heart. On seeing the sight his heart burst into pieces and a part of
it fell into Thomas’s chest and it started beating. Both Thomas and the price
felt great joy but there was no sadness at all. The prince kissed Thomas and
hugged him and they felt that they were all sad only to live a happy life
together. They went to the king’s court and declared their wish to marry each
other. The news shocked the king and the courtiers and the rest of the people
who were present there. The king at once ordered to expel both the prince and
Thomas. But then an angel from the heaven appeared in-front of the king and gave
the message from the god that “Never break true love as love has no boundaries.
Thomas and the prince were born only to
love each other and it can never be changed and let them live as a couple and
you shall be rewarded”. Later the king agreed upon the wedding and the wedding
took place in the church in front of the king and the people of the kingdom. They
were all happy that their prince will be no more sad and there was love
everywhere. Hatred was banished from their lands. Both the prince and Thomas
lived their life happily as a couple ever after.

Fake Bread
It is the day i realized that what we see with our own eyes are not true but veiled to hide the bitter reality unless we open up our eyes. It is my everyday routine that I get into an auto and reach my bus stop to get my bus but its not often that my eyes and mind are open during these trips. when it did, It was a shock. I noticed something that I have never bothered to take a look at ,It was an extremely difficult sight to behold and I pray desperately that there is nothing wrong with my eyes for the scene tore a piece of my heart. Let me put this straight about it, the platform was filled with beggars and you may ask, what is so special about it and it is a day to day sight for we live in the country were rich gets richer and the poor gets poorer everyday. My point here is that each and everyone were handicaps. Their hands and legs are broken and mended improperly, almost fitting the requirement for the odd job that they were doing. Am I wrong to think that, its not the hands of the creator but some cheap people who are desperate enough to hurt people for their own fill? From where do they get fresh bandages daily when they beg for their daily bread? I wish I am blind to this world but its a shame that I am not!!!

THE OPEN CLOSET
The Open Closet
It was dark inside, darker than the womb I stayed for a good nine months. I was scared, suffocated and the trauma was unbearable. The chains that I was bound with was rusty and the whips used were brutal.
Nine months inside the womb and nineteen years inside the closet, We are bound to come out of it either dead or alive. My soul had enough of it that it burst out of the closet. My closet is open now and forever.
I am proud of my open closet for the world can see me as what I am.
I am gay and I am proud!
I dedicate this piece to my uncle and aunt who supported me when I came out of my closet :)

HAPPY RIDE TO HYDERABAD
Hyderabad, The capital of Andhra Pradesh, India and very well known as the City of Pearls and how adorable the nickname given to this fabulous city and its not the only way to call it as the traditional city carry some other names like the City of Nawabs , the Biryani City and since they are the healthy competitor for Chennai and Bangalore ,it’s also called as Cyberabad. This city values its tradition and its culture and till now it plays the role of the meeting point between the north and south india but sadly the city taking its turn towards modernity .
The glory of the city can be very well represented by the historic monuments standing with pride and to name them comes the landmark monument, Charminar. The Charminar is considered as the icon of Hyderabad and Its name literally means "Four minarets" .Mecca masjid ,the biggest and the oldest mosque in the city whose bricks were made from the soil brought from the holy city of Mecca . Hussain Sagar Lake, The artificial lake is a historical landmark, This forms the boundary between Hyderabad and Secunderabad and various palaces, tombs ,temples ,churches etc.
Sight seeing in this adorable city is something really different from the other cities as nothing can match the Cycle rickshaws ,one of the best way to have a look around the city ,slow and steady with very tales from the rickshaw drivers. As native people of Hyderabad ,they indeed are better than a travel guide where you may not know the true value of the giant structures standing in the city. A good conversation and fresh air will always make the journey refreshing and to be true will save your expenses as you will not get cheated by any anti social devils in the city.
Sadly its true in the happening that cycle rickshaws are replaced by Taxi’s in the name of modernity and it spoils not only the city with pollution but also the livelihood of the native cycle rickshaw drivers and sight seeing will sure turn into an uninteresting event without open air and increased fares .Though the Taxi’s are provided with metered service its really hard for the non locals to make for a metered service and avoid waiting charges .
The traditional vehicles ,the cycle rickshaws are very well decorated and indeed they are charming and they are hundred percent pollution free and better way of healthy transport inside the city. Usually the vehicles are available at cheap fares and its our duty as the good citizens of the country, the state and the pearl city to avoid pollution and to make a healthy environment around and to provide employment opportunities for our brothers who are very much dependent only about their physical power and willing to support us mentally by the traditional tales about the city we must start using cycle rickshaws and support it for everyone’s well being .
Let us pray for the good and support for the good for the traditional city is the place of rich culture and we have the responsibility to protect its culture and nature which is gods will. Hail Hyderabad.

THE ANGEL OF THE EAST
It was just another burning day in that hot summer. Mother earth was greedy too for the water on her ground and there was nothing we could see green and the sun was burning red sucking the moisture from the air. The animals and birds became desperate for the blessed rain, their days were dark that the ponds dried and lakes vanished from the face of the earth.
In a dark time like this, in the giant oak tree lived a family of little birds. The mother bird become so distraught that she couldn't find any food from her travel towards west and so she charged towards the east to search for any game to feed her wards. The two little baby birds were so worried for their mommy and were a little scared to spend the entire day alone in their abode.
By the grace of the god, the elderly owl visited them and offered them to take care of them for that day. The old coot, may be a little blind but the best of the tale tellers in the entire west. Two little birdies were so worried and sad that the old owl took pity for them and volunteered to tell them a tale, a tale of “The angel of the east”.
The old coot began the tale, Bless her, the angel of the east for she is the proud owner of the purest of heart, the one who owned the humblest of souls. Bless her, thy name is Sarah. "What a pretty name it is!", exclaimed the little bird cheerfully. The old coot continued the tale. Sarah, the seventh and the last born of her parents lived in the woods.
Even though she was a little girl, her wisdom was beyond the ages. Being the part of a very big family, her meals were of minimal quantity. She loved the animals of the woods as her own that she always shared the meals with them. Bless her heart!, she gives away her daily bread some days for she couldn't let her friends perish of hunger. Never once she failed to fill the bowls for the birds with water. The animals and the birds loved her very dearly.
It was the day, god came down to earth to check upon the living. When he entered the east, he heard the sweetest of melodies, the birds were singing. He listened carefully for the words of the song. The song was ,"Bless her, the holy angel of the east. the one with the purest of heart". The god wondered about this mysterious angel of the east and called upon his angels to enquire about it.
The angels replied, "My lord!, there was no one among us who go by that name". The god became so curious to meet this mysterious person. He decided to go and meet the angel in person disguised as a beggar. When he went there, she was feeding the half of her daily bread to the animals,. Fascinated by that sight, the god tried to test her. Already disguised as a beggar, he went to her and asked her for anything to fill his empty stomach. Sarah gave him the rest of her bread without a second thought.
By now, the god was very much fascinated and left for the heavens. He took the book of angels and with the Pleasant smile wrote down the name Sarah in the book. The next morning Sarah woke up with a pair of beautiful wings and a white glittering gown. She entered the woods with her wings for the first time. The animals and the birds became so happy that their Sarah has really become the angel of the east.
She invited the spring as her first guest as an angel and the hot summer was gone. The woods prospered and everyone lived happily ever after. When the old coot finished the story, It was already sun down and the mother bird had arrived with fresh bread slices
from the angel of the east. The two little birds thanked the angel for their food and the old coot for the wonderful tale they have ever heard. Sarah invited the spring once again and
the happy times began. The end.

THE PINK SCARF
Life is so much beautiful, if we can see it with the likes of this pink scarf. We sure can relate our very lives with this woven pink threads, why? because our lives, same like these threads woven together ,we are bound to our kith and kin. The vibrant pink is not natural to this scarf and so are the happiness which we long for in the world we live in. The dye is the ingredient that makes this scarf gay, isn't our lives be happy and gay if we find our dye?. Is it so hard to find the recipe for happiness? Ah! even I know that's not true. This little scarf on the whole is sweet, perfect and rich but is it really? No, the complexity in the making of this little scarf is so complex that it hurts my head. likewise our lives has ups and downs, if we are to overcome everything with a bold face then our lives could be perfect and pretty, if not at least smooth.
Is getting happiness enough in this world? No, It is keeping the happiness you earned as long you grace your presence in this world. Our time in this world is too short, Lets spread the happiness and live a happy life.
Be happy everyone...
